Baltimore County Police report that a violent domestic dispute at Hair Cuttery at Foundry Row in Owings Mills on Oct. 29 led to the arrest of a 42-year-old woman’s boyfriend.
Steven Scott, 36, of Baltimore, was denied bail and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He is charged with the following:
- Attempted first- and second-degree murder
- First- and second-degree assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Possession of a handgun in a vehicle
- Possession of a Handgun on Person
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony/violent crime
- Malicious destruction of property
The incident began as a verbal dispute between Scott and his girlfriend, a customer at the Hair Cuttery. As the argument escalated, Scott retrieved a handgun from his vehicle and returned to the store where he pointed the gun at an employee and chased after his girlfriend. As the girlfriend exited through a rear door, Scott fired several rounds in her direction. No one was injured during the shooting.
