Public Hearing on Data Center Report

The Baltimore County Planning Board will meet on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 4 p.m. and then hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. on its draft data center study report. The meeting will be held in person at 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, Hearing Room 104 in Towson and virtually online. Open House and Ribbon Cutting. The West Baltimore County Redevelopment Authority (WBCRA) is hosting this event on Friday, Sept. 18, 9 to 11 a.m. at 3104 Lord Baltimore Drive, Suite 206, in Windsor Mill. Learn more about the WBCRA, which was created by state legislation to facilitate development and redevelopment in the area bounded by Liberty Road to the north, US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) to the south, the Baltimore City line to the east, and Rolling Road to the west. Board members, elected officials and county representatives will be present. The redevelopment authority has scheduled a bus tour of the catchment area for Sept. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

School Board Meetings

Upcoming meeting dates of the Baltimore County Board of Education are Sept. 11 and 22 and Oct. 6 and 21, 6:30 p.m. at the board’s Greenwood campus, Building E, Room 114, 6901 N. Charles St. in Towson. Infobcps.org.   

County Council Meetings

Upcoming legislative sessions of the County Council will be held in-person and via web conferencing at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8 (Tuesday), Sept. 21, Oct. 5 and 19, with work sessions at 4 p.m. on Sept. 1, 15 and 29 and Oct. 13 and 27. Infobaltimorecountymd.gov/countycouncil or call 410-887-3916.  Note: Legislative sessions are typically held on Mondays but because county offices are closed Sept. 7 to observe Labor Day and Oct. 12 for Indigenous People’s Day, some meeting dates have shifted.

Police Community Relations Council Meetings

Precinct 1 – Wilkens meets the second Tuesday of every month, 7 p.m. from September through May at Arbutus Town Hall, 1349 Stevens Ave., 21227.

Precinct 2-Woodlawn meets the second Wednesday of the month, 7 p.m., Woodlawn Precinct, 6424 Windsor Mill Road, 21207.
